Gingerbread Fun

Gingerbread Fun

We printed out the book below. I laminated the book and used sticky tack to stick the gingerbread man to each page in the correct place so that we can reuse. You could also print the booklet and allow your child to glue the gingerbread man into the book.

Christmas Time Fun. Happy Birthday Jesus!

We started off December with a countdown calendar to help us wait for the big day!

After reading a few books about the nativity we did a cool sequencing game. (I laminated it so we could do it over and over...and use it again next year.)

Candy Cane Rhyme:
Look at a candy cane.
What do you see?
Stripes that are red
Like blood shed for me.
White for my Savior
Who’s sinless and pure.
J is for Jesus,
My Lord, that’s for sure.
Turn it around

And a staff you will see.
Jesus, my shepherd
Is coming for me!

One of the cheapest, easiest, and most fun crafts is a Christmas wreath! I cut out the middle of a plain paper plate and let my little one paint it green. When it dried, she added some stickers we had leftover from some crafts we did last year.
